Materials & Craft

We believe materials are not decoration added at the end. They are part of how an object is understood, used and cared for.

A closer look at the surface

Texture, reflectivity, weight and response to light can transform how a simple form feels in a room. The same neutral palette may appear warm or cool depending on fibre, finish and daylight. We study these differences as design decisions, not just aesthetic details.

Hand-tufted rugs

Our first collection, FORM, begins with SOREVA: a hand-tufted rug specified in a wool–viscose blend. Hand-tufting uses yarn inserted into a backing to build the surface. Construction, fibre quality, tufting density, backing and finishing influence the final feel and performance; a single label cannot describe the whole object.

Wool and viscose

Wool offers natural warmth and a more diffuse surface appearance. Viscose can introduce softness and a reflective lustre, but may require more careful maintenance, particularly around moisture and pressure marks. Neither material should be assumed suitable for every high-traffic space without discussing the intended use.

Material honesty

We aim to communicate confirmed compositions and dimensions clearly. Where supplier specifications such as exact fibre ratios or sample tolerances remain to be verified, we will confirm them before a final order rather than presenting estimates as guarantees.

Caring for considered objects

Care depends on the exact materials and construction. Avoid soaking or aggressive scrubbing of wool–viscose rugs, and seek professional advice for spills or deep cleaning. Use the final manufacturer care instructions provided with the product.
