In the Making
Where an idea begins to find its form.
Not every design begins as an object ready to order. Sometimes it starts with a question about proportion, a drawing, a material, or the way an object might sit in a room. In the Making is Astiva's evolving register of such explorations.
In Development / Sculptural Chair
A study in form, comfort and the relationship between wood and upholstery.
Our sculptural seating concept explores a continuous curved back and armrest with a softly upholstered seat. The initial material direction is a rich smoked-walnut appearance, balancing warmth with a restrained silhouette.

Concept visualisation — not a photograph of a manufactured product. Final timber species, measurements, upholstery, finish, pricing, production feasibility and delivery details are yet to be confirmed. This study is not available to purchase or reserve.

Our development stages
01 / Under Study
Early explorations of form, finish or function. These are concepts, not saleable products. Imagery at this stage may include visualisations and material references.
02 / In Development
Design direction is being assessed through technical development, supplier conversations or samples. Materials, proportions, costs and manufacturing feasibility may still change.
03 / Open for Reservation
A reservation option is introduced only where a design, proposed terms, pricing and delivery framework have been sufficiently confirmed and clearly communicated. Any deposit or refund conditions will be stated separately before payment.
04 / Available to Order
The design has an approved specification and an ordering process. See the Collection for items that have progressed to this stage.
Follow the work
For now, we are developing this register rather than presenting unapproved concepts as finished products. If a direction interests you, you can register your interest without making a payment.
